Marrying a Korean for Love or F2 Visa?
How many are willing to admit that while they decided to marry the women they love, in the back of their minds they were also aware of the financial benefits that are attached to the marriage! It’s true that after getting an F2 visa there is less work and life is much easier. You would have plenty of time to do personal work. But there are very less who get married being fairly in love.
For those who think they will make more money if they marry a Korean, getting married is not about cash. Don’t get married for a visa. It sounds awful. With an E2 visa life would be hard, but you are not going to live in Korea forever, someday you can go home. Marriage is a long term contract, so better make sure that there is trust and true friendship involved. You must treat her with utmost respect.
Some people really don’t have money on their mind and come back to Korea to meet their in-laws (even though they don’t want to come back). However, there are people who offer 10,000 Won (10USD) to marry Korean women in order to get a visa (not a joke).
