Are You Going to Busan?

BusanThinking of spending your summer vacation in Busan is a good idea, but you don’t know what to do there. Well there are lots of places to check out like the beaches, the fish market, the UN cemetery, the aquarium….. or you can also take a day trip outside Busan.

Talking about day trip, Gyeongju is a good place to visit. Don’t forget to taste the taco at Tacos al Pueblo in haeundae. This is the best thing to do in Busan. There is a really nice and peaceful temple at Beomeosa. But it’s peaceful only in the early mornings before it gets full with the summer tourist hordes. If you like historic sites, nature, and museums you can go to Kyeongju. If you are found of fishes and aquatic life you would surely love the Busan aquarium at Haeundae beach, which is a beautiful place, but it’s full of people. There are enough of love-hotels around Haeundae beach. They might be crowed but you won’t take 30 min to find one vacancy. The Gwangalli, Songjeong, Goeje-do beach are quite nice to visit. The fish market is worth visiting. They have some of the stuffs that you might have not even seen.

There are also some great views overlooking the city like the Busan Tower and some nice sea views at the Dongbaek Park. With the capacity of two thousand people, the Heosimcheong Spa near Oncheonjang subway station is reputed the largest in Asia. There are many hot spas in Busan. You can find a good crowd of teachers and western engineers/businessmen at U2, which is a western bar across from the Novotel. On the weekends, people dance there until midnight, playing pool and darts.
