There are many foreign couples in Korea who came along with there wife/girlfriends and children and are managing very well. Yes it is feasible. Most of the schools provide single housing but they will upgrade your apartment if you tell them that you have come along with your family. If they don’t, you can search for a position that will provide this facility. If you haven’t already, you should start studying Korean. You should be prepared to be able to communicate. Be aware that your kids are coming into an environment that may not suit them. They might get exposed to some of the viruses. Communicate with the medical staff as soon as possible.

Certainly, your Korean study should include the basics of living in Korea. Make sure that your loved one’s get into the national medical insurance program. Some of the jobs pay 50% of your insurance premium, and they also pay 50% of the cost of coverage for your wife and kids. This are some of the things need to be kept in mind while doing a job search. After there are many jobs in Korea and finding a job that will accept your situation would be easy.

Most schools outside of Seoul, Busan and Daegu provide far improved accommodations than a single apartment, may be two bedrooms for each western teacher. If you are interested in a particular job, first ask them about the housing and then be upfront to tell that you are married and also have children. If you tell them before they would ask you to get your own apartment. Don’t forget to ask for pictures of the housing with a complete description of furnishings and furniture. Many of them find a public school jobs because it includes family housing.
