korean signsHow many teachers have taken time off teaching so as to study Korean, when they are free for two to three months? Public school teachers have way more free time than teaching time, they could surely take some time to study Korean. If you don’t like to take formal lessons, just do self-study and language exchange with your friends. Don’t worry about studying on a tourist visa. You can plan to study at a Korean hagwon with your tourist visa.

If you study Korean you are taking one step closer of becoming a much better teacher. Just read and speak Korean language every other second of the day. Learning Korean is cool and fun and it’s also a way to show respect for the host country and you can have a better understanding of language study. Many of them prefer self-study to class study, but it’s interesting to try out class also.

You can buy an mp3 player, download or record the things in Korean that you like and write them down. Make sure that mp3 player has a playback function where you can keep repeating as you write. Find some books that you know like Demian. Crime and Punishment etc. and enjoy reading them. Get a good tutor to whom you can ask questions and clarify all your doubts with him. Listen to the chats and conversation of the people at bars and hotels. You can also watch some dramas in Korean language. Get rid of the computer and TV so that you have lots of time to read.
