Amber, you win! I totally agree with what you said. This is Korea! People need to take what they can get and stop whining like a bunch of children. YOU decided to come here, so accept the fact that things will be different. Yes, 'On the Border' would be mediocre (but still passable) in the states, but in Korea it's top-tier Mexican food. MUCH better than the other "Mexican" restaurants I've been to in Seoul where they stuff cabbage (instead of lettuce) and mayo (instead of sour cream) into the tacos. Now THAT was foul!

Come on now, it's pretty close to what the food tastes like at the On The Borders in Texas. They don't claim to be a mom and pop style cantina. We are in Korea people, get over yourself. They make margaritas from the machines, just like in the states. And they make decent guacamole if you get the one that they make at your table. If you want authentic Mexican food then go to Mexico and stop feeling sorry for yourself.

I'm Mexican and definitely is just a cheap copy that what should be the real one.Avocados from South Africa or Chile, chili from local market and of course cuervo tequila. If you have good imagination and you never tried the real thing, this restaurant if for you.

The re-fried beans tasted processed. Worst I've ever had. The guacamole was flavorless. The chicken tasted like it was that thawed pre-cooked frozen.crap. There is nothing authentic tasting about On the Border. If someone thinks that this is what Mexican food is supposed to taste like, then they must rarely venture far from the lackluster cuisine of the family chain restaurant. On the Border is no different than its mediocre compadres, Bennigans and T.G.I.Fridays.

On the Border restaurant in Sinchon was the best Mexican food I've had anywhere in Korea. Really, it was the best food I've had period. I am from Texas, and the food at On the Border in Sinchon tasted EXACTLY as it does back in Texas. Also, the staff were outstanding, the atmosphere was perfect, and the drinks were very well made. All of this makes On the Border in Sinchon and excellent place to eat.
