I was very disappointed a few days ago...I applied to a website were ESL teachers are needed in Korea. I am a filipino but I had a lot of experiences teaching English in China and Taiwan.
They replied to my message but it was very demeaning. He told me that I am not a native speaker. In fact he even told me that I am not that good like the natives do. The question is.... Why do many Koreans studying here in the Philippines? they're population is even higher than us already. If they discriminate me, there are many ways on how to say no. The're stupid . In fact, he said that in an unmannered way,. I have many Korean friends who came here in my house already, but he is not the EDUCATED type. The way he described me is the way he describes himsel!MORON KOREANS too.

It is indeed tough luck when it comes to securing jobs in TESL for all residents of India or other countries where there are number of qualified trained ESL teachers. Thats tough luck for the residents of the non-english speaking country as well because having learnt in a non-english speaking environment, and having learnt English as second language themselves, conversant trained teachers from countries like India and Phillipines are apt to be better teachers than a native speaker who has very less first hand experience of difficulties with learning English.
